The Work
The Sales Manager at Lexipol will lead a team of up to 6 Senior Account Executives (SAEs) dedicated to achieving high-impact sales goals within the public safety and government sectors. Reporting to the VP of Sales, the Sales Manager is responsible for driving revenue growth, supporting professional development within their team, and fostering a positive, collaborative sales culture. This role combines strategic sales execution with hands-on leadership to ensure both individual and team success in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment. This position is remote.
Key Responsibilities:
Team Leadership and Performance Management
- Lead, motivate, and coach a team of 6 Senior Account Executives to achieve and exceed quarterly sales targets.
- Set clear performance expectations, monitor individual and team progress, and provide ongoing feedback and support.
- Conduct regular team meetings to review goals, share insights, and promote best practices within the sales team.
Sales Strategy and Execution
- Implement Lexipol’s sales strategy within the team, ensuring each SAE is aligned with both Recurring (National Account Sales) and Non-Recurring targets.
- Develop action plans to support team members in achieving goals, adjusting strategies as needed to align with changing market conditions.
- Support SAEs in developing client-centric proposals that address unique customer challenges and align with Lexipol’s product offerings.
Customer Relationship Management
- Foster a client-centric approach by ensuring SAEs prioritize understanding client needs and challenges to build strong, lasting relationships.
- Guide the team to follow up effectively, providing meaningful insights and personalized communication that add value for clients.
- Serve as a point of escalation for critical client issues, ensuring quick and effective resolution.
Data-Driven Performance Optimization
- Regularly review and analyze team performance metrics, using data to drive improvements and refine sales strategies.
- Collaborate with the VP of Sales to assess team performance, identify areas for improvement, and optimize sales activity to achieve team quotas.
- Ensure that all sales are properly documented in compliance with Lexipol’s policies and guidelines.
Talent Development and Retention
- Mentor and coach SAEs to develop their skills, build confidence, and achieve professional growth.
- Conduct regular performance evaluations, providing constructive feedback and setting goals for skill enhancement and career advancement.
- Create a supportive, collaborative team environment that promotes high morale, motivation, and retention.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with the VP of Sales, Product, Marketing, and Customer Success teams to align sales efforts with company-wide objectives.
- Support product adoption initiatives by coaching the team to effectively communicate Lexipol’s value proposition to clients.
- Participate in cross-functional meetings to share sales insights and contribute to overall business strategy.
Qualifications:
- 3+ years of experience in a sales management role with a track record of leading teams to meet or exceed quotas.
- Strong understanding of SaaS sales models and the public safety or government sector (preferred).
- Excellent communication, coaching, and team-building skills, with a passion for developing high-performing sales talent.
- Data-driven mindset with experience using analytics to guide sales strategies.
- Demonstrated ability to lead a team in a high-growth, results-oriented environment.
Compensation and Incentives:
This position offers a competitive base salary and a quarterly incentive bonus plan based on the achievement of team sales quotas, including both Recurring and Non-Recurring components. Additional incentives are available based on the team’s participation rates and the overall success of the team.
We are targeting base salary of $120,000 plus quarterly bonuses.
