Senior DevOps Engineer
Remote, US-based position. Candidates must live in the United States.

The Work
The DevOps team at Lexipol is responsible for building and maintaining the cloud infrastructure and automation pipelines that enable reliable software delivery and scalable operations across our platforms. This team collaborates with multiple stakeholders, including development, QA, security, and operations, to deliver automated, secure, and resilient systems that drive Lexipol's products.
The Sr DevOps Engineer will be a key member of this team, responsible for designing, building, and maintaining CI/CD pipelines, secure cloud infrastructure, and managing the work of contract resources. You will collaborate across teams to ensure the infrastructure and services support Lexipol’s operational goals and meet compliance standards like SOC2 and CJIS.
Key Performance Objectives
Key Performance Objective #1: Design and maintain CI/CD pipelines (35%)
Design, build, and maintain scalable CI/CD pipelines for applications hosted in both Azure and AWS environments.
Collaborate with development teams to integrate testing, security, and compliance checks into the pipelines.
Implement automated deployment solutions, ensuring minimal downtime during releases.
Key Performance Objective #2: Implement and manage secure cloud infrastructure (30%)
Design and implement secure, scalable cloud environments in AWS and Azure.
Ensure compliance with industry standards such as SOC2, CJIS, and internal security policies.
Implement monitoring and alerting for infrastructure and applications to ensure high availability and fast response to issues.
Manage and oversee the work of contract resources to ensure project timelines and quality are met.
Key Performance Objective #3: Troubleshoot and resolve production issues (20%)
Quickly respond to and troubleshoot issues in development, test, and production environments.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve issues related to cloud infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, and deployments.
Be part of the on-call rotation, providing 24/7 support for critical issues and ensuring minimal downtime for key systems.
Key Performance Objective #4: Document processes and provide knowledge sharing (15%)
Document processes, procedures, and design decisions related to cloud infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines.
Provide knowledge sharing and mentorship to development, operations, and other technical teams.
Requirements:
To be considered for this role, you must have:
Extensive proven experience as a DevOps Engineer or similar role, with a focus on AWS and Azure cloud services.
Strong proficiency in AWS services and Azure DevOps, including pipeline configuration and management.
Hands-on experience with infrastructure automation using Terraform, CloudFormation, or ARM templates.
Familiarity with AWS Lambda and serverless architecture.
Experience with containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) and orchestration.
Experience with configuring monitoring for observability tools (e.g., DataDog, Grafana, CloudWatch, or equivalent) to monitor and ensure system health and performance.
Experience with version control systems (e.g., Bitbucket), build tools (e.g., Maven, Gradle), and artifact repositories (e.g., Nexus, Artifactory).
Solid understanding of networking concepts and protocols.
Excellent troubleshooting, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
Strong verbal and written communication and collaboration skills, with an initiative-taking attitude towards knowledge sharing and team success.
Familiarity with Agile methodologies and practices.
Preferred Experience:
AWS and/or Azure certifications.
CJIS certification.
Target Outcomes/ Target Results
Create, Define, and Complete DevOps Strategy, User Stories, and Tasks in Jira in collaboration with the entire DevOps team & partner teams.
Maintain uptime and performance metrics for infrastructure supporting key applications and platforms.
Ensure compliance with SOC2 and CJIS standards in all infrastructure and pipelines.
Optimize CI/CD pipelines for faster, more reliable releases.
Efficiently manage and oversee contract resources to ensure on-time project delivery.

Base salary of $160-185k, plus bonus for this role.
