The County of Volusia is seeking an Ambulance Supply Technician for the Emergency Medical Services Division. This position is responsible for ensuring ambulances are fully prepared for deployment, including equipment checks, sanitation, and restocking essential supplies and medications. The technician plays a critical role in supporting emergency medical response efforts by maintaining vehicle readiness and operational standards.

- Clean, load, and restock ambulances to ensure readiness for service.
- Resupply and seal used medical bins in accordance with established protocols.
- Issue equipment and supplies to oncoming Emergency Medical Service (EMS) crews.
- Operate and reposition ambulances to meet logistical and staffing needs.
- Daily check of fuel/Diesel Exhaust Fluid (DEF) levels.
- Vehicle detailing as scheduled.
- Assist in preparing vehicle for state inspections.
- Consistently report to assigned shifts and locations as scheduled.
- May be reassigned to other operational locations, as necessary.
- Comply with all applicable federal, state, county, and local laws and regulations.
- Perform other related duties as required.
High school graduate or equivalent.
Must possess and maintain a valid Florida driver's license at time of hire and maintain thereafter.
- Skilled in basic computer applications and inventory tracking systems.

ADA REQUIREMENTS
Physical Demands: Heavy to very heavy work. Ability to lift over 75 pounds. Ability to stand, balance, bend, squat, crawl, climb, carry, push, pull, grasp, finger dexterity, kneel, reach, walk, traverse uneven ground, hear, and smell. Visual acuity (depth perception and peripheral vision) necessary to operate a motorized vehicle. Finger dexterity; Clarity in daytime and night time conditions to allow for driving, and other activities in support of the pre-hospital medical care delivery system.
Environmental Demands: Ability to tolerate prolonged periods in indoor and outdoor environments including, but not limited to, excessive cold, excessive heat, inclement weather, humidity, rain, wind, vibration, noise, water exposure, fumes/odors, physical hazards, and potential for exposure to blood/bodily secretions and pathogens

Mental Demands: Read and comprehend detailed instructions, letters, journals, maps. Write concise sentences and reports. Verbally relay information n to others and speak extemporaneously. Perform basic mathematical calculations including understanding of inventory control versus package requirements.
